Spellcrafting Basics
Here, you'll find out what makes up a spell, as well as correspondences (and how to create your own!). This page will continue to evolve as my understanding evolves, but that should be the disclaimer for all these pages lol.
What is a spell and how do you do one?
A spell is a way of making shit happen! To me it works like this; everything is spirits, right? By performing certain ritualistic actions that demonstrate what you intend to happen - to yourself, to someone else, somewhere in the world, etc - you are essentially petitioning the spirit world to make that shit happen. Honestly, I think just about anything can be a spell if you do it with intent, whether it is a whispered prayer to your favorite deity or the act of bashing someone with a rock cain-and-abel style.
But that's not to say that intent is necessarily everything. Your intent is, as I understand it, merely a container for the spell itself. It's half the work! The rest of the spell requires energy, both to complete the action required and to fuel the spell until its no longer needed. One of the simplest spell I can think of is this: create an energy ball in your hands. If you can, visualize it. Really try to feel it against your skin (for me I feel a staticky tingling feeling). Then tell that energy what you want it to do and release the energy into the universe. The more time you spend building the energy ball up, the more energy there is to use. Simple, right?
This tool generates a layout that is responsive, which means it looks great on phones! Use dropdowns above to customize your layout's general features. Click the button to generate your HTML and CSS, and paste it into a file on Neocities.
Then you can replace all of the text with your own. For more customization, the CSS code has comments to explain what each part changes. Please read through the code - even if you have no idea what it means.
If you're feeling up for a challenge, I put together a guide which goes over the structure of how this layout is built, along with some specific tips on how to edit it in certain ways.
